The residents of Amal Pepple Estate in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), were thrown into a panic mood in the early hours of Monday, November 4, 2024 when kidnappers invaded the estate, kidnapping two persons.
TheHintsNews reports that Amal Pepple Estate situated off the Kiyami village road near the Abuja Centenary City is the second estate along the Lugbe/airport road axis to witness the resumption of the heinous act of kidnappers after some moment of respite.
This attack came just barely five days after a similar incident happened at ACO Estate where the attackers killed one gateman and abducted two residents.
During the attack at the ACO estate, a mother and her daughter were taken away, while one casualty was recorded in the early hours of Wednesday.
However, during the Monday attack at Amal Pepple Estate, investigation revealed that the kidnappers gained entrance through a hole made on the fence wall with explosive devices.
The kidnappers’ sporadic gunshots lasted for hours before they were repelled by the combined team of the estate security and a back up from the police, preventing them from moving to the next house to abduct more victims.
A resident of the estate who pleaded anonymity said the young man managed to escape being kidnapped with severe injuries to his right arm sustained from machete attack, but his mother was not so lucky as she and one other person were taken along with the assailants.
