Seven persons have so far been rescued, while several others are still trapped in a building collapse that occured on Wednesday night at Lagos Street, Garki village, Abuja.
Those reportedly rescued have been evacuated to the hospital.
The ongoing rescue operation is slow due to rainfall.
The officials are however making frantic efforts at getting an excavator to remove people from the rubbles.
