The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has blamed the power outage currently experienced in the nation’s capital on system failure from the national grid.
It added that the system failure from the national grid was causing power outages being experienced across all its franchise areas.
The Abuja disco in a statement issued Thursday appealed to its customers, while assuring that they are working hard to restore normal supply.
It said: “Dear Valued Customers, Please be informed that the current power outage is due to a system failure from the National Grid.
“The system collapsed at about 16:28 hours today 28 March 2024, causing the outage currently being experienced across our franchise area.
“We appeal for your understanding as_ all stakeholders are working hard to restore normal supply.”
