The Campus Technology Life Initiative (CTLI) is partnering with the Campus Journalism Awards and Dialogue (CJA) to promote innovation, technology integration and digital awareness in campus journalism across Nigeria and beyond.
Speaking during the presentation of the partnership proposal in Abuja, the National Coordinator of CTLI, Amb. Kalu Chijioke expressed optimism about the critical role of technology and awareness in shaping modern journalistic practices.
He emphasised that the role of technology and awareness in journalistic approaches cannot be overemphasized.
Chijioke further noted that this partnership would play a pivotal role in raising digital journalism consciousness and awareness, while fostering creativity and innovation among young journalists.
“At CTLI, we believe that through innovation and resourcefulness, we can develop a digital framework that promotes dialogue amongst young persons — not only in Nigeria but across the globe,” he added.
Part of the proposal for the partnership stated that the collaboration between CTLI and CJA seeks to support student journalists in developing digital and storytelling skills; create opportunities for exploring the intersection of technology and journalism and build a network of tech-savvy journalists who can drive positive social change.
Meanwhile, in recognition of this partnership, the CJA has extended an invitation to CTLI to participate in its early morning workshop, designed to train and empower campus journalists from various institutions.
