Baring any last minute change, the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Audi, is scheduled to bow out of the service Friday, 27th February, 2026.
The pull out parade of the outgoing Commandant General is coming as the Corps marks the official Grand finale of the world Civil Defence Day celebration on Friday.
Audi’s who has spent 30 years and reached a retirement age.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu may name a replacement immediately.
Audi was appointed NSCDC Commandant General by late President Muhammadu Buhari in February 2021.
However, his tenure has been plagued with different kind of corruption allegation.
It was based on this that he was invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to answer question relating to financial misappropriation under his watch.
Born September 30, 1967, in Laminga, Nasarawa state and holds a PhD in Public Administration from Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) and a Master’s in Public Business Administration from University of Calabar (UNICAL). Audi is also a member of the National Institute.
Before becoming CG, he rose through the ranks, serving as Divisional Officer (Obi and Lafia), Head of Operations/Intelligence (Nasarawa), and Provost of the NSCDC Training College, Katsina
