The federal government has redeployed directors across agencies in the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
The move, it said, was aimed at tightening coordination, strengthening accountability and boosting operational performance within the sector.
The directive conveyed in an official circular dated February 9, 2026, and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Yakubu Kofarmata, which was approved by the Minister, Festus Keyamo is expected to take immediate effect.
The redeployment was carried out in directorates in the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) and the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB).
The new portfolio saw the former Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at NiMet, Mrs. Funke Arowojobe swapped positions with her counterpart at the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, Bimbo Oladeji who takes over at NiMet.
Similarly, the Director of Finance at the NAMA, Muonemeh Lotenna is to resume in a similar post at NSIB while the former DFA at the investigative agency Dr. Okundaye Folake would take over at NAMA in the same capacity.
Dr. Nasiru Sani was reassigned within NiMet to head Corporate Services, the former Director, Airohiuodion Omonzogie has been moved from NiMet to oversee Corporate Services at NSIB, with Baro Henry Minabawarre switching from NSIB to NiMet as Director of Human Resource and Administration.
However, at the NCAA, the directive relieved the former Director of Special Duties, Mr. Horatius Egua of his position and was replaced by Mrs. Augustina Erah.
