As the country continues to battle insecurity, the Nigerian Army has passed out over 6000 Recruits of the 85 Regular Recruit Intake (RRI) in Kaduna state.
Director Army Public Relations, Brig-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu in a statement issued Saturday said the journey to soldering by the 6,315 passing out recruits, began after successfully undergoing a painstaking selection process, and reporting for training at the Depot Nigerian Army on 3 June 2023, culminating in today’s POP.
Addressing the Passing out Recruits, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, reaffirmed that the Nigerian Army will continue to give troops’ training and welfare the priority it deserves.
According to him, Our soldiers deserve the best accommodation we can provide, when they are not in the frontline as incentives for their sacrifices.
The Army Chief reminded the young soldiers, that soldiering is a life of sacrifice to country, allegiance to defend and if need be, pay the supreme price.
He said, “As you pass out today, you have accepted the highest call to duty, any Nigerian can take up.”
