President of Nigeria Basketball Federation, Ahmadu Kida, Wednesday paid a visit to the Abuja camp of D’Tigers, who are preparing for the 3rd Window of the Afrobasket Qualifiers slated to hold in Tripoli, Libya.
Kida expressed his satisfaction with the enthusiasm of the players, while promising them of the continued support and encouragement of the board of the NBBF.
While charging the players who were scouted and selected from the Nigerian basketball league to put in their best performance at all times, he was quick to remind them that there was no difference between them and the foreign based players that would join them in Tripoli, for the qualifiers.
Kida urged the boys to give the task ahead of them their best shots and make Nigeria proud in Tripoli, Libya, adding that the good people of Nigeria are solidly behind them.
The players are expected to travel to Libya on February 16th, where they would be joined by the foreign based players.
The D’Tigers under the tutelage of coach Abdulrahman Mohammed would be seeking Afrobasket ticket during the qualifiers that has been termed as make or mar for the team.
