A group, Advocacy for Youth Empowerment and Emancipation has warned that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu risk losing the 2027 presidential election if his government fails to meet the demands of the youth in the country.
Its Chairman, Godwin Ozor in a statement issued Friday said the youth are not just asking for scraps from the table, but demanding a seat at the table.
He noted that the youth of the country are demanding an enabling environment that allows their businesses to thrive, lives to flourish, and their entrepreneurial spirit to soar.
Ozor noted that they demand grants to empower their startups, support for their innovative ideas, and investments in their future.
He added: “We stand at a critical juncture in our country’s history. The 2027 elections are looming, and the choices we make today will determine the course of our collective future.
“As we gather here, I want to issue a clear warning to President Tinubu and the APC-led government: fail the youth, and you risk facing the consequences in 2027.
“And let me remind President Tinubu and the APC-led government that we’re not just a vocal minority; we’re a force to be reckoned with.
“We’re the ones who will determine the outcome of the 2027 elections. We’re the ones who will decide whether the APC remains in power or is sent packing.”
Ozor, therefore, called on President Tinubu and the APC to take their demands seriously, invest in their future and mpower their businesses.
He said: “Now, I know some of you may think that we’re just making idle threats. But let me tell you, we’re not just talking; we’re organizing. We’re mobilizing. We’re uniting across party lines, across ethnic and religious divides, to demand a better future for ourselves and for our country.
“The choice is yours. But remember, we’re watching. We’re waiting. And we’re ready to take our destiny into our own hands.”
