A construction firm, Zornul Nigeria Limited has abandoned repair of roads washout along Tukpechi Roundabout Godoji with Medium Weight Bearing Bridge and Culvert, in Kuje Area Council, Abuja.
The firm abandoned the project after it was paid the sum of N85.4 million by the government.
This was made known on the official Facebook page of Tracka, aa non governmental organisation that monitors implementation of government projects.
It said: “In Sept 2022, N85.4m was paid to Zornul Nigeria Limited for the Repair of Roads Washout Along Tukpechi Roundabout Godoji with Medium Weight Bearing Bridge and Culvert, Kuje Lga Abuja.
“We tracked and reported that this project has been abandoned since 2008 and there has been no recent work done.
“We call on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, the implementing agency, to provide the public with a report of how funds disbursed for this project was utilized.”
