Bandits on Saturday in Kogi state reportedly hijacked God is Good (GIG) and ABC transport buses heading to Abuja.
The GIG bus left Umuahia at 7:30 am en route Abuja, but was hijacked in Kogi state.
However, the exact town or location where the buses were hijacked and the passengers kidnapped was not revealed.
According to one Chude Nnamdi who posted the information on his verified X account, @chude__ said he got the information on Sunday morning.
He said: “The report reaching me this morning is that a GIG & ABC transport buses heading to Abuja were hijacked by Kidnappers yesterday in Kogi state.”
Nnamdi also share the screenshot of a distress message from someone suspected to be a close friend of his whose wife was one of those abducted by the kidnappers.
“I’ve tried to message you on X and IG but none went through so I decided to send you a mail.
“Kindly assist in raising awareness about the hijack of GIG bus by Gunmen at Kogi yesterday and unfortunately my wife was in that bus.
