The organised labour led by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) has suspended the nationwide strike.
This followed the meeting held on Wednesday between the representatives of the labour union and the federal government.
The organised labour had on Tuesday embarked on a nationwide strike following the beating of NLC President, Joe Ajaero in his home state of Imo, few days before the governorship election held last Saturday, November 11.
Following the beating, the labour union embarked on nationwide strike demanding the arrest and prosecution of the officers involved in the neating and molestation of the NLC President.
