Stern looking operatives of the Nigeria police and Department of State Security (DSS) have taken strategic positions at the Kano Emir’s Palace in Kofar Kudu.
TheHintsNews reports that two weeks ago, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, while in Bichi, the Bichi Emirate Council was still legitimate.
He added that Emir Nasiru Ado Bayero was still the established emir.
However, operatives of DSS and police were deployed to the palace following Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II’s decision to install his newly appointed Wamban Kano, District Head of Bichi.
Checks revealed that the Emir will accompany recently appointed Wamban Kano, Munir Sanusi, to his official district posting in Bichi.
Sources also revealed that the Bichi Emir’s Palace is heavily guarded, with armed police officers stationed nearby.
