The Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has declared that the era of abandoned projects is over in the nation’s capital.
To this end, the minister assured that his administration would lead in the drive of Area Councils’ development in FCT.
Wike stated this on Wednesday in Abuja while flagging off 11km Kwali-Suku-Abo road.
He revealed that parts of the move is to remodel some selected schools picked in the six area councils within the next six months.
The minister noted that the people at the grassroots also deserve quality infrastructural facilities.
He, therefore, charged the area council chairmen and the contractors handling the execution of the road projects to engage youths in the respective area council to enable them contribute to the growth of their individual family.
Wike warned criminals in the territory that his administration was prepared to deal with the insecurity ravaging the nation’s capital.
The minister urged Kwali Area Council Chairman to stay with his people to develop the Council.
He assured the chairmen of his support, saying he would not tamper with area councils’ allocation, asking them to make judicious use of the opportunity.
