The National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has reached a truce with the Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello over the nomination of National working Committee (NWC) member from the state.
The leadership of the party after rigorous meeting with key stakeholders resolved that Bello should nominate candidate for the position of Zonal Organizing Secretary (North Central), who is to replace the earlier nominated, Hon. Ikani Okolo
However, the nomination of Hon. Duro Meseko, who is also nominated to serve as the Deputy National publicity secretary earlier by Hon. James Faleke stands and would be sworn in alongside other new members.
TheHintsNews reports that Bello sent the name of his nominee to replace Okolo around 12 midnight in Thursday , but Ganduje insisted that the inauguration will take place today after jummat prayer.
The leadership of the party had on Wednesday announced Hon. Duro Meseko (Kogi State) as Deputy National Publicity Secretary (North Central Zone) to replace Yakubu Ajaka, just as Ikani Shuaibu Okolo (Kogi State) takes the position of Zonal Organizing Secretary (North Central).
This saw the candidate of Bello lost to the candidate of Faleke for the position of the deputy national publicity secretary.
It was based on this that Bello stormed the party secretariat to ensure that the inauguration of the NWC members was stalled.
