Kogi State Auditor General for Local Governments, Dr. Yakubu Adabenege has assured that integrity in governance won’t be compromised under the administration of Gov. Ahmed Ododo.
Adabenege gave the assurance on Wednesday in Abuja after receiving honourary doctoral degree in Public Policy Administration from Prowess University, Delaware in the United States of America, as well as distinguished fellowship award from the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM).
His words: “As auditors, our job is to use our pens to promote transparency and accountability in both public and private sectors. We do not just probe, we also correct. I will continue to urge everyone of us to do the little we can, anywhere we find ourselves, to improve the lives of others”.
Also, the Registrar of CIISM, Dr. Adelanke Oyintoke said Adabenege had exhibited the values of excellence in public service, adding that his remarkable achievements in the accounting profession had not gone unnoticed.
He stressed that the awardee who is popularly known as ‘Fancy’ is an expert in the field of accounting and financial accuracy who had earlier served as Personal Assistant to the present Governor of the state.
CIISM is incorporated as Institute of Information and Strategy Management with approval from the Federal Ministry of Education.

Joseph Omeiza; Chairman of the Independent Campaign Council for Ododo Movement, Alhaji Adams Onota; Educational Consultant and lecturer at the University of Abuja, Dr. Audi Ovivi; Alhaji Idris Rabiu and many others.
