Budgit has accused the National Assembly of turning agencies of government into project warehouses for insertions.
Budgit in a post on its verified X account on Tuesday noted that a total of 1,142 projects worth N320 billion were inserted into the Federal Co-Operative College, Oji River’s 2025 budget.
Also, it added that the legislative arm also inserted an extra 856 projects worth N406 billion into the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute budget.
Budgit lamented that most of the agencies lack the capacity to execute those projects, thus leaving poorly executed projects across the country.
Some of the agencies, insertions and the amount they got are: “Federal College of Horticulture, Dadin-Kowa, Gombe: 635 projects for N181.74bn; Federal Co-Operative College- Ibadan: 317 projects for N190.89bn,
“ National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation- Ilorin: 254 projects for N83.65bn; Nigeria Institute of Oceanography and Marine Research: 161 projects for N78.98bn.”
