A non governmental organisation that collaborates with people and ensures they track capital projects, Tracka has raised the alarm over the deplorable healthcare facilities in Osun communities.
It noted that during a recent field visit to Ilemowu community, Olaoluwa local government area, it observed that their primary healthcare centre was in ruins.
It noted: “The facility has been completely neglected for over five years, despite repeated complaints from residents to the Local Government authorities and the Osun State Hospital Management Board.
“Community members confirmed that several letters have been written over the years, yet no action has been taken.
“As a result, residents young and old are forced to travel to other communities to access basic healthcare, increasing both financial burden and health risks.
“The facility is in a dangerous state of disrepair. Roofing sheets have been blown off, walls are cracked, windows and doors are damaged, no healthcare personnel, and no functional medical equipment.”
The organisation stressed that the PHC urgently requires full renovation, staffing, and equipment to restore basic health services to the community.
It, therefore, called on the state government, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Osun Ministry of Health, and Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria to immediately intervene and rehabilitate the facility.
Similarly, the organisation revealed that the current state of Obamoro PHC also in Ola-Oluwa LGA was appalling.

It added: “Observations from our field visit show that the facility is unfit for safe healthcare delivery. Leaking roofing sheets, open, dusty floors, broken windows, damaged doors, are some of the issues we identified.
“Both health workers and community members confirmed that these conditions make it extremely difficult to deliver and receive care safely. Residents continue to suffer because of this.”
