The All Progressives Congress (APC) has resolved to adopt direct primary to elect the candidate of the party in the April 20 Ondo governorship primary election.
The Deputy National Organising Secretary of the party, Hon. Nze Duru, revealed that the ruling party has already informed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of its decision to adopt direct primary mode of election in a letter signed by the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje and National Secretary, Sen. Ajibola Basiru.
He words: “We are using the direct primary mode of election for Ondo State governorship primary election.
“This decision has equally been conveyed in a letter duly signed by the National Chairman and the National Secretary to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that the party has adopted a direct mode of election for Ondo State governorship election.”
