Reinstated Local Government Chairmen in Osun State has commended the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola for facilitating their return to office.
TheHintsNews reports that on February 10, 2025, the Court of Appeal ordered the reinstatement of the APC Chairmen and Councillors across the 30 Local Government Areas and the Area Office in Modakeke.
However, the reinstated chairmen led by Mr. Abiodun Idowu, Chairman of the Osun State chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) showed gratitude to Oyetola when they paid visits to him at his Iragbiji residence in Osun state.
The Chairmen acknowledged Oyetola’s enduring commitment to good governance and political inclusivity, crediting his guidance and advocacy as instrumental in their reinstatement.
Meanwhile, the minister on Tuesday visited former Osun State Governor and APC National Leader, Chief Bisi Akande, at his residence in Ila, Osun State.
Oyetola in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, said he engaged in meaningful discussions centered on national development, party unity, and the principles of leadership with Akande.
He commended Akande for his dedication to public service, highlighting his legacy as a pillar of progressive politics and a beacon of democratic ideals in Nigeria.
“Both visits, rich in symbolism and substance, reinforced the values of loyalty, respect, and collaborative leadership that continue to shape the political landscape in Osun State and beyond,” he said.
