Blood thirsty terrorists have continued their rein of terror in Zamfara and Niger states with the killing of over 50 security agents and civilians.
TheHintsNews reports that wanted terror kingpin, Bello Turji reportedly killed over 40 Joint Task Force (JTF) members and four soldiers around Shinkafi local government area in Zamfara. He also burnt a military vehicle.
Turji and his fighters ambushed and killed scores of JTF members who decided to go on the mission on their own without informing troops of Operation Fansan Yanma.
He reportedly released a video showing the execution of ex-bandit, Bashari Maniya, accusing him of helping security forces after abandoning banditry.
In a separate incident, terrorists stormed Tofa village, also in Zamfara state where they killed more than 15 residents.
The community, situated in Magami district of Gusau Local Government Area, has been devastated by repeated bandit attacks.
Most of the residents of the community have abandoned their homes following their inability to pay the levies imposed on them by bandits.
A source said: “The bandits on Sunday attacked the community; they ambushed the troops and killed many of them. The families of the dead soldiers have been informed, but the army has been silent on the incident.
“In Tofa, over 15 people were massacred, many others were injured, and some were nowhere to be found.”
In Niger state, no less than seven persons were abducted by suspected armed bandits during a renewed attack on Hayin-Gando village.
