The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), says two persons died, while 11 victims were rescued from a fatal crash that occurred on Thursday in Kano.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday at exactly 10:40hrs with 10 people sustaining varying degrees of injuries.
The corps in a statement issued Friday revealed that the head-on collision which involved two commercial Volkswagen Golf with registration numbers KMC 220 KU and ABC 80 ZE occurred at Ringim-Kano, near the former IGP Farm.
It said out of a total of 13 people — six males, three females, and one female child were involved in the crash, 2 people killed.”
“In the course of the emergency rescue and recovery efforts, the Corps also recovered a total sum of ₦2,166,700 intact from the scene, belonging to the two deceased and one survivor.
“The recovered amount has been handed over to the relations of the deceased and survivor in the presence of the Divisional Traffic Officer (DTO) in charge of Ringim Division of the Nigeria Police Force Command, Kano State.”
