An election observer group, Gender and Election Watch (GEW) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to provide dedicated polling units for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in subsequent elections in the country. Its Chief Executive Officer, Brenda Anugwom, made the call in a statement issued on to highlights the group’s observations in the last Saturday off-cycle governorship election in Kogi state. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has said that the old Naira notes which includes, N200, N500 and N1,000 denominations introduced  in October 2022 will remain as legal tender indefinitely. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) has arraigned Aisha Sabo before Justice Fadima Murtala Aminu of the Federal High Court, Damaturu, Yobe State on one -count charge bordering on criminal misappropriation to the tune of N10,473,500.00.
