The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state as the winner of the governorship poll. Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress was declared winner of the November 11 governorship election the state retuning officer, Prof. Abayomi Fasina. The governor won in all the 27 local government areas of the state, scoring 540,308 votes to be declared winner of the election. Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 14 suspected vote buyers in Otueke, Adawari playgrounds in Bayelsa State and at various polling units in Imo and Kogi States.
