The House of Representatives has decried the recent invasion of marauding elephants on farm fields in Ngala and Kala-Balge local government areas of Borno State. The House, therefore, urged the Ministry of Environment and the National Wildlife Park to provide immediate and long term solutions to address the menace of the marauding elephants in the area. The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has alerted the public on the possibility of deterioration in visibility as a result of observed dust haze propagated into the country from the source region. It added that winds over 10m and 925hPha are favourable for dust-haze propagations into the Northern parts of the country.
