The Edo State Police Command has confirmed that one person died, while four others were injured when in a boat mishap that occurred in Gelegele, the Ovia South West Local Government of the state on Thursday. It was gathered that the  commercial boat hit stationary barges which led to the accident. Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) on Operation Hakorin Damisa IV has neutralised suspected bandits and arrested 73 suspects in connection with kidnapping, cattle rustling, and gunrunning. The operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command, has arrested 76 suspects and foiled a plan by some individuals to host a same-sex wedding.
