The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the  exemption of microfinance banks and primary mortgage banks from cash withdrawal limits. The apex bank in a circular dated July 31, 2023 sent to all financial institutions explained that microfinance banks and primary mortgage banks that provide banking services to the economically active poor have been exempted from paying the processing fees for withdrawals above the cash withdrawal limits for direct cash withdrawals from their correspondent banks. The Lagos State government has slashed  transport fare on all Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) routes by 50 per cent beginning from August 2 as part of effort to cushion the effect on removal of subsidy. President Bola Tinubu, says the federal government will spend N75 billion between July 2023 and March 2024 to fund 75 enterprises with great potential to kick-start a sustainable economic growth, accelerate structural transformation and improve productivity.
