The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it would commence the sale of forms for the forthcoming Edo governorship election scheduled for September 21, 2024 on Wednesday.
The National Organising Secretary of the party, Suleiman Argungu, in a notice issued Monday said the Expression of Interest form was pegged at N10 million, while Nomination form was pegged at N40 million.
He noted that female aspirants and persons living with disabilities are to purchase Expression of Interest form, while nomination form is free
Argungu added that youth between 25 and 40 are to purchase Expression of Interest form with a 50 per cent discount of Nomination form
The ruling party added that the governorship nomination forms and delegate forms would be sold between Wednesday, January 10 and Monday January 29th.
Argungu said the last day for the submission of completed governorship nomination, expression of interest forms and other accompanying documents and delegates forms would take place on Monday, February 5.
He noted: “In compliance with relevant sections of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria & Electoral Act, the APC hereby makes public its Timetable & Schedule of Activities leading to the 21st September, 2024 gubernatorial election in Edo State as announced by INEC.”
The party noted that the screening of aspirants would hold between February 8 and 9, while delegate Congress would hold February 10, and the publication of screening results was scheduled for February 12.
The party stressed that the screening appeal hold February 13, while delegate congress appeal hold February 12.
The party revealed that it has scheduled the primary election to hold on February 17th, while Primary election appeal holds February 18 and submission of list of list of nominated candidate would hold march 4.
