Terrorists on Wednesday attacked a secondary school in Kogi State while students were writing the National Examinations Council (NECO) examination, abducting the school principal and an unspecified number of students.
The terrorists invaded the school during the examination, causing panic among students, teachers, and other staff before whisking away their victims to an unknown destination.
The attack was coming few days after troops rescued students, pupils and teachers of Oriire schools in Oyo state
However, security agencies have reportedly launched efforts to track down the kidnappers and secure the safe release of those abducted.
As of the time of filing this report, government was yet to confirm the exact number of students kidnapped by the gunmen.
