The accident that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday on Bwari-Dutse expressway has claimed the life of a taxi driver, while many others are injured. According to any eyewitness, the accident was as a result of overspeeding of the lorry carrying sand. He said: “There was a very serious and fatal accident at Bwari-Dutse expressway. The accident happened close to the army checkpoint in Bwari. “The taxi driver is dead and many were injured. There are a lot of casualties. Two taxis were compressed under the lorry.”

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has blamed the recent hike in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N537 to N617 on arbitrary levies by government institutions and extortion by security agencies.
