The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has commenced a probe of Chairman of Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Muhyi Rimingado. The Bureau in a letter dated August 14, 2023 and signed by Director, Intelligence, Investigation and Gwimi S. P, said the Bureau has launched an investigation on alleged violation of the Code of Public Officers against Rimingado. It also called on the Director, Personnel Management Department of Kano anti-corruption agency to provide requested information to aid the probe. The President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr. Omar Touray, says the decision  to activate the regional standby force was not a declaration of war or an act of invasion on Niger Republic. Troops of 6 Division Nigerian Army have destroyed an illegal oil refinery site in the general area of Ogbokoko and Atu in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State. Director Army Public Relations, Brig-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu in a statement issued Thursday said the oil thieves fled the scene, on sighting the advancement of troops. The minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has ordered the arrest of the owner of a two-storey building which collapsed in Abuja on Wednesday night. The building which caved in around 11pm on Wednesday amid downpour led to the death of two persons, while 37 people were rescued and taken to various hospitals.
