Ahead of August 15 Osun state governorship election, Governor Ademola Adeleke has accused former governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola of using federal might and the name of President Tinubu to perpetrate violence in the state.
Adeleke, who is also the governorship candidate of Accord Party said that no amount of intimidation would stop him from emerging victorious.
Adeleke stated this on Tuesday in Osogbo during a Town Hall meeting organised by the ARISE TV for the three prominent governorship candidates in the August 15 election.
He stated: “Oyetola is still suffering from the pain of defeat. Because he’s a cousin to Mr. President, he has caused a lot of problems in Osun State. Gboyega, if you are listening to me, this is democracy. Just because I defeated you, go and sit down.
“This is democracy, it is what Osun people want. Osun people are the ones who will decide.
“You use Mr. President’s name, you are allowing people to be killed, you have arrested Accord members.

“If you know that you can win, why are you arresting my people? Why are you using federal might to arrest, to intimidate, or show people? And I know they are ready.
“There’s no amount of intimidation. The work that I’ve done speak for itself. Come this Saturday, I’ll be victorious.”
