The Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) says it is in support of the resignation of the former National Chairman, Senator Abdulahi Adamu and Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
The forum is the umbrella body of governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
TheHintsNews reports that both Adamu and Omisore tendered their resignations on Sunday following an alleged directive of Tinubu, whom sources claimed could no longer tolerate their excesses.
However, addressing journalists after a close-door meeting lasted for about two hours on Wednesday night
His words: “You must have heard of the resignation of the National Chairman of our party and the National Secretary of our party.
“Those are voluntary actions that have been taken and with due respect to our former National Chairman and Secretary, we commended the wisdom in what they have done.”
Uzondinma added that Adamu and Omisore served the party very well, amsaying that they are happy with their services.
The PGF Chairman stressed that the party is united and there is no crisis in the ruling party
He noted: “There is no crisis in the party, they are happy, we are also happy. We are in support of their actions and we will continue to commend and recognize the services they have rendered to our great party.
“Their resignations have also been accepted by the leadership of the party; there is an acting chairman now and an acting secretary.”
