The Osun State Police Command has arrested six suspected cultists in intelligence-led raids on criminal hideouts in Osogbo. The suspects were arrested in compliance with the directives of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Zungura. The federal government has announced that it would temporarily close the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, from October 20, 2026, for runway rehabilitation, resurfacing and extension works ahead of the Christmas travel season.
