The state of Israel has vowed to strike targets in the “heart of Tehran” after the Zionist nation claimed Iran violated a ceasefire agreement by launching a new missile attack.
TheHintsNews reports that US President, Donald Trump announced the phased ceasefire agreement on Monday night.
He declared that the war would officially “end” 24 hours after the truce, bringing the Middle East back from the brink after Tehran struck a US base in Qatar.
Recall that Iran had targeted US bases in the Middle East after Trump ordered strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran.
Iran’s response to the US strikes sent shock waves with many thinking it could lead to World War III.
However, on Tuesday morning, the Israeli military said two ballistic missiles were launched from Iran forcing civilians into bomb shelters once again as sirens rang out in northern Israel.
Israel’s defence minister, Israel Katz said he had instructed the IDF to “respond forcefully” to the ceasefire violation by launching strikes against targets in Tehran.
This came after both sides said they had agreed to a ceasefire earlier this morning.
The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu also revealed that a truce had been agreed after Israel succeeded in removing the “dual immediate existential threat” from Iran’s nuclear and ballistic capabilities.
Combatants in the Middle East have a long history of taking hostilities to the deadline and Israel was reported to have launched one of its largest raids on Iran overnight.
