President Bola Tinubu is said to be considering four members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party for four ministerial positions.
Although, while party members and interested persons are intensifying lobbying to make the final list, the President appears to be fully in charge unlike what was obtainable under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The APC NWC members being considered for ministerial positions included: APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Abubakar Kyari, Deputy National Chairman South, Emma Enekwu; APC National Vice Chairman, North-west, Dr. Salihu Lukman, and the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka.
While both the Vice President, Kashim Shettima and Governor Babagana Zulum have allegedly endorsed the nomination of Kyari, Enekwu who is from Enugu state appears to be favoured for the slot from his state.
Lukman, who had in recent times become a nightmare for the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdulahi Adamu is being touted as the nominee from Kaduna State.
However, the slot from Delta state will be a straight battle among Festus Keyamo, Frank Kokori and Morka.
For doing irreparable damage to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is believed to be among the nominees from Kano state.
However, an additional slot is being conceded for the immediate past governor, Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje to nominate someone to take the position.
The immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, who already has a strong footing in this administration for doing a yeoman’s job during the presidential polls in the state would be rewarded with a ministerial position.
Also, Tijani Tumsah, the pioneer National Secretary of the party and Mohammed Dambu would lock horns for the only available slot for North-east.
