The Defence Headquarters Thursday revealed that troops of the Armed Forces of Nigeria killed 36 terrorists and arrested no fewer than 163 suspected criminals and gunmen across theatres of operation in the last two weeks. Two separate terrorists’ attacks on two Niger communities have left one person dead, while more than 50 others, including women and children, have been kidnapped. The incident occurred between Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The dead person in Niger was in Tsoho Kabula community in the Munya Local Government Area, where about 20 people were kidnapped and scores of cattle rustled. Palpable tension has enveloped Igarra, headquarters of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State, as five people were reportedly kidnapped by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.
