Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed 15 terrorists in a precision airstrike in the Pulka general area of Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State.
The Joint Task Force said the strike was conducted at about 11:50 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026, following credible intelligence on terrorist movements north-west of Pulka.
The Acting Military Information Officer, Capt. Mohammed Goni in a statement issued Saturday said the air interdiction was immediately followed by ground exploitation to secure the area and consolidate operational gains.
The military said the operation highlights the effectiveness of its intelligence-driven and coordinated approach in degrading terrorist capabilities across the theatre.
Goni added: “The operation forms part of the sustained offensive posture of troops… to deny terrorist groups freedom of action and prevent them from threatening communities.”
The military reaffirmed its commitment to defeating terrorism and insurgency in the North East and restoring normalcy for socio-economic activities.
The Command also called on members of the public to sustain cooperation with security agencies by providing timely information on suspicious movements, noting that civilian-military partnership remains critical to lasting peace.
