The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume demanded the sum of N1.8 billion for the inauguration of the tripartite committee on national minimum wage, a leaked memo has revealed.
Akume made the request in a memo dated 18th January titled, “Request for approval of funds and inauguration of the tripartite committee on national minimum wage”.
The memo was addressed to President Bola Tinubu, whose approval was sought for the release of the said sum.
It reads: “This memorandum seeks your approval for the following in respect of the above subject matter.
