The military has confirmed the killings of key commanders of wanted bandits leader, Bello Turji in the ongoing offensive in the North-west. Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj-Gen. Edward Buba said the operation was carried out between January 20 and 21, targeting terrorist hideouts across Sokoto and Zamfara states. Justice A.O. Owoeye of the Federal High Court Lagos, on Tuesday ordered the final forfeiture of a two-storey building in Lagos to the federal Government of Nigeria. The Rivers state police command has confirmed the deaths of three person in after a passenger boat capsized on Sunday evening in Rivers state. The command’s spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt on Tuesday that 19 passengers were rescued from the tragic incident.
