The federal government has said that it plans to develop the tourism and creative industry in order to increase its contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by generating $100 billion. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have completed and inaugurated its abandoned Port Harcourt regional office began 22 years ago. The regional office building abandoned for over two decades was inaugurated by NCAA acting Director-General, Capt. Chris Najomo on Friday at the Port Harcourt International Airport. The Osun state government has reduced the external debt of the state by 15 per cent. According to the breakdown by the Debt Management Office (DMO) on domestic and external debts since 2022 which was posted on the X handle of Statisense, the domestic debt was also reduced by 42 per cent. The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) and the Maritime Organisation of West and Central Africa (MOWCA) have agreed on joint action to promote maritime weather observation, early warnings, and capacity building focusing on marine meteorology. This formed part of the agreement in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by NiMet and MOWCA in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.
