Finidi George has resigned his position as the coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria. His decision to resign might not be unconnected with the resolution of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to hire a foreign technical Adviser. The Glass House took the decision following the dismal performance of the Super Eagles in the first two games that Finidi was in charge. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Friday deployed 743 vehicles, 92 ambulances and other equipment for patrol during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration nationwide. The Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Shehu Mohammed made the disclosure during a press conference in Abuja, adding that a total of 23 help areas have been mobilised to ensure prompt removal of obstructions, and rescue operations during the period. Troops of the Nigerian Army in conjunction with a Task Force Tactical Patrol Squad conducted a raid on a training camp of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) located in Ihechiowa community of Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State.
