Kylian Mbappé has assured that his plan is to be at Paris St. Germain next season
The French player clarified his situation at a press conference on Thursday.
On the letter he sent to PSG announcing he won’t extend his current contract, Mbappe said he did not think he was going to offend anyone with the letter.
He said: “Honestly I did not think I was going to offend anyone. I only sent a letter, yes — I didn’t know a letter could kill someone. It’s just a letter.”
On his plans for next season and Real Madrid links, Mbappe said, “at the moment, I’ve only one option: staying at PSG. I plan to be there when the season starts”.
“President Macron will have no impact on my future. He hopes for me to stay at PSG and I want to stay, so… we’re on the same page”.
On why he plans to stay but not signing new deal, “Guys, there’s nothing to explain. People can talk, criticize… I know why I do what I do and why I say what I say. People don’t have all the information.”
