Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, RittyGold Soft Investment, Rita Mbina, Tuesday in Abuja hinted that her business is thriving due to steady customer demand, with reliable electricity emerging as the single most important factor sustaining her operations.
Mbina, a hair stylist based in Abuja, says her business is thriving due to steady customer demand, stating that she sees a high volume of clients daily, describing the demand as too large to track.
The main challenge she faces now is limited shop space, which sometimes forces her to reschedule customers for the following day. She said she manages the situation by speaking calmly with clients and offering alternative appointment times.
In an interview on Tuesday, She stated that Power supply, previously a major hurdle for small businesses in the area, was no longer a problem for her.
According to her, “Right now, I have constant light where I credited to recent government efforts for the improvement and I urged authorities to maintain the current level of service.
“My biggest request to government is to keep the electricity constant. That’s critical for my work.”
On taxation, the RittyGold Soft Investment boss, said she is willing to pay if the government continues to provide basic infrastructure.
“As much as government continue to provide the infrastructure, I am open to paying tax,” she stated. She clarified that the view was her own and she could not speak for other business owners.
MBina’s experience highlights a shift in priorities for small business owners in Nigeria, with power supply stabilizing, space and capacity, rather than electricity, have become the main constraints to growth.
