An armed robbery suspect, Friday Onwujekwu, who had been on the police wanted list in Enugu State was severely beaten by an angry mob after he was caught with a pump-action gun at a market square, police sources said. The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has lamented that the removal of certificate forgery in the 2026 Electoral Act as grounds for election petition raised significant concerns regarding electoral integrity.
